VAIO 2019 latest range debuts in Hong Kong

New VAIO® SE14 Asia premiere: All-round performance brings pleasant notebook experiences to the mainstream market, along with new ultra-premium VAIO® SX14 and 2-in-1 VAIO® A12 models

Hong Kong, 14th February 2019 — Nexstgo has unveiled the launch of the inspired VAIO® SE14 in Hong Kong, its first Asian market premiere. The VAIO® SE14 is launching as a mainstream-priced with decent performance notebook that is set to enhance of the work and entertainment experiences for users. Nexstgo also announces that two new models of VAIO® SX14 and VAIO® A12, which have just launched in Japan, will officially be arriving in Hong Kong and other Asian markets in April.

VAIO® SE14 first launch in Asia: all-round enjoyment for work and entertainment

The VAIO® SE14 combines work and entertainment functions with a comprehensive range of specifications aimed at the mainstream price arena, making it suitable for a well-rounded variety of tasks and user groups. The VAIO® SE14 is equipped with an 8th generation Intel® Core™ (Whiskey Lake) processor and a 14-inch full HD IPS screen with ultra-narrow screen bezel design. VAIO® SE14 weighs approximately 1.35Kg and is offered in two color choices, red-copper and dark grey. It also offers up to 13 hours of battery life, making it a supremely reliable partner on the go; in fact, the VAIO® SE14 accords to three essential design principles, being Lightweight, exceptionally Robust and highly Durable.

VAIO® SE14 features an AMD RadeonTM 550X discrete graphics chip (optional) for enhanced graphics performance, which provides a more engaging experience for digital media-oriented users when watching movies or playing games. Connection options are also very comprehensive, with two USB Type-C^TM ports, two USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI port.

In addition, VAIO® SE14 also focuses on protecting personal privacy, and comes with a built-in fingerprint reader and TPM 2.0 chip to provide hardware-based security functions which prevent malicious access to private data. The fingerprint reader thwarts biometric hacking with anti-spoofing technology, and does not disclose login authentication when the user signs in. The user can also choose an IR Camera option that supports Windows Hello, enabling quick login with one touch (or one smile) in front of the camera.

The VAIO® SE14 will be launched in Hong Kong at the end of February and will be available in other Asian regions including Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore, starting at $7,998.

VAIO® SX14: feather-light premium laptop with a wealth of connection possibilities

The ultra-premium VAIO® SX14 weighs approximately 1.05Kg and features a lightweight yet rugged UD carbon case, together with a 14-inch 4K ultra HD display in ultra-slim bezel design. VAIO® SX14 also runs on the latest 8th generation Intel® Core™ (Whiskey Lake) processor, which gives demanding users as an extremely lightweight choice among high-end professional notebooks. In addition, the VAIO® SX14 is extremely versatile, with a variety of connection interfaces including 4K HDMI, VGA/RGB, LAN, USB Type-CTM, 3 USB Type-A, SD card reader, security lock slot and 3.5mm headset/headphone jack. There is no need to connect an external adapter to meet most needs, even in such a slim form factor. SX14 also supports VAIO TruePerformance, a technology that helps optimize and maximize CPU and overall performance of the laptop. VAIO® SX14 also comes with built-in fingerprint reader and TPM 2.0 chip to provide hardware-based security functions.

New two-in-one VAIO ®A12, True Laptop and True Tablet in the same device

The VAIO® A12 two-in-one device is designed to be a “True Laptop, True Tablet”. Its exclusive "Stabilizer Flap" design improves stability of the device in use, which is a common problem among other "two-in-one" devices in the market. The tablet part features a 12.5” multi-touch screen with Full HD resolution. When attached to the keyboard base with built-in battery, the total weight is at approximately 1.2kg. If used with the keyboard attached, the battery life will be further extended to approximately 15 hours. The keyboard base comes with built-in fingerprint scanner and a variety of connection ports, including HDMI, VGA, LAN, USB Type-A, SD card reader, security lock slot and 3.5mm headset/headphone jack. The keyboard base of the A12 can be connected to the tablet wirelessly (on selected configurations), which greatly improves its flexibility in use.

VAIO® SX14 and VAIO® A12 will be launched in Hong Kong in April, followed by release in Taiwan, Malaysia and Singapore markets in May. Prices are pending.
